  • To protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Alpha Charlie, our clients, Site visitors, or others;
  • To investigate or prevent suspected fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity;

Advertising-Related Disclosures

Although we do not sell personal information for money, certain privacy laws may define disclosures made through advertising cookies, pixels, or similar technologies as a “sale,” “sharing,” targeted advertising, or another regulated activity.

Where an applicable law provides a right to opt out of such activity, we will provide the required mechanism to exercise that right.

Where required by applicable law, we will also recognize applicable browser-based universal opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (“GPC”).

7. Email Marketing Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email or by contacting us at info@alphacharliemarketing.com.

We may retain limited information about an unsubscribe request to ensure that we continue to honor the request.

Unsubscribing from marketing messages does not prevent us from sending communications that are necessary for an existing business or client relationship.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently used, including providing services, maintaining business relationships, responding to inquiries, maintaining records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the reasons for maintaining it.

In particular:

  • Client and project records may be maintained for extended periods, including as long as reasonably necessary to preserve historical project files, provide continuing or future client service, maintain business records, or respond to requests for archival work.
  • Contact and prospect information may be retained while there is a reasonable business-development, relationship-management, or recordkeeping purpose.
  • Marketing contact information may be retained while a person receives communications, and limited suppression information may be retained after an unsubscribe request so that the request can continue to be honored.
  • Legal, contractual, accounting, billing, and similar business records may be retained for the period reasonably necessary for business, legal, tax, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Website and analytics information may be retained according to our business needs and the settings available through the applicable technology provider.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it as appropriate.

9. Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

We primarily rely on cloud-based systems and third-party service providers rather than operating our own on-premises servers. We also use information-technology and security services to help protect our systems.

No website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of personal information.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the incident and provide notifications to affected individuals, regulators, or other parties when required by applicable law.

Some of our service providers may operate or process information in the United States or other countries. As a result, information may be processed in a jurisdiction different from the jurisdiction in which you are located.

Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we will take appropriate steps to use required safeguards.

11. Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to our processing, you may have rights concerning your personal information.

These rights may include the right to:

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities where applicable;

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to exceptions or limitations under applicable law. For example, we may need to retain certain information for legitimate business, contractual, security, recordkeeping, or legal purposes.

To submit a privacy request, email info@alphacharliemarketing.com.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests. Where applicable law permits an authorized agent to submit a request, we may also take reasonable steps to verify the agent’s authority.

We will respond to qualifying privacy requests within the period required by applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, those legal bases may include:

  • Your consent;
  • Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract or performing a contract;
  • Our legitimate interests in operating our business, responding to business inquiries, maintaining client relationships, securing and improving the Site, and conducting appropriate business communications, where those interests are not overridden by applicable privacy rights; or
  • Compliance with a legal obligation.

Where consent is the legal basis for processing, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law.

If applicable European or UK data-protection law grants you additional rights, you may exercise those rights by contacting info@alphacharliemarketing.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.

13. Global Privacy Control and Other Browser Signals

Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid universal opt-out mechanism, we will process supported signals such as Global Privacy Control in accordance with applicable requirements.

The Site may not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals that are not recognized as legally binding or standardized opt-out mechanisms.

You may also manage cookies and similar technologies through the cookie-preference controls provided on the Site and through your browser or device settings.

14. Children and Minors

The Site is intended for adults and business professionals and is not directed to children or minors under 18.

We do not knowingly seek personal information from individuals under 18 through the Site. Individuals under 18 should not submit personal information through the Site.

If we learn that a minor has submitted personal information to us in circumstances where it should not have been collected or retained, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise address the information.

15. External Links

The Site may contain links to websites, social-media platforms, and services operated by third parties.

We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or content practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of those services is governed by the policies and terms provided by the applicable third party.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, technologies, services, legal obligations, or other circumstances.

When we update the Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version on the Site and change the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
