The Wichita Aero Club enters its next chapter as Ashley Bowen Cook takes over as Executive Director of one of the industry’s premier organizations. Cook, Alpha Charlie Marketing’s Principal & CEO, has been involved with Wichita Aero Club for years and is a longtime advocate for the region’s aviation community.

Her appointment follows the resignation of Nicole Alexander, who has led the Wichita Aero Club since 2022. Taking over after the retirement of longtime president Dave Franson, Alexander helped maintain the club’s momentum while continuing its mission of connecting aviation professionals and celebrating the industry’s achievements. She recently stepped down to focus on her professional coaching business, leaving behind a strong foundation and a legacy of dedicated service.

For Cook, the new position represents a continuation of her longstanding commitment to the Wichita Aero Club. She made history as the organization’s first female board chair, serving a three-year term from January 2022 to January 2025. Cook has led the club’s trophy selection committee since 2012.

As part of the transition, Alpha Charlie Marketing will assume many of the organizational responsibilities that were previously shared among several individuals. The new structure is designed to improve operational efficiency while allowing the club to continue delivering the high-quality programming members have come to expect. Tessa Brungardt will continue serving as event coordinator, ensuring continuity for the club’s signature luncheons and special events.
